Good morning to all our followers. We are sitting in a bar having breakfast and looking out on to the Indian sea in a place called Cola Beach, Goa. Nice place to bring the blog up to date.
Flew down to Goa on the 22nd December to a place called Agonda beach where we are staying till 5th January. Keith’s two girls, husband, partner and children (8 in total) joined us just in time to celebrate an Indian Christmas. Even Santa found us but could have been the magic dust, laid by the children, that helped 😉. They also saw his sleigh on Christmas Eve helped by a lit Lantern in the sky.
New year on a Goa beach??? well that is a fantastic experience. Fireworks start early and gradually build up to a crescendo  at midnight. Along with parties, fires, laser lights and of course a drink or two it makes for a magical evening on a beach approx mile and half long. Some of the staff from our residence went partying till 5am (after serving 100 for dinner on the beach) and they still managed to have the place up and running by 8am. Well done to them.
Finding Cola beach, after travelling on a very bumpy ride in a TukTuk down a dirt track, we decided to have a night in one of their little huts. The place is called Blue Lagoon set in a idyllic place but with an erratic booking system. We booked and paid for a premier deluxe hut!! and they let someone have it. Turns out they have two booking books. Ah well back to a basic hut on the sand 😀. Just to add to this story when we came to pay for rooms they asked us what price was quoted!! Bad move after a we had had a two hr wait for a room we did not book 😏🤔😉🌴. No of course we didn’t!!!!! 👍.
Now back at Agonda Sunset for our last couple of days. Our driver picks us up on Saturday for our 22day trip round Southern India.
We have loved staying here with its basic huts. Not to everyone’s liking with cold water showers. But we have really enjoyed our stay. Fishing trips, canoeing, Tuk Tuk rides etc etc. Great team of guys watching over you. Great food as well and brilliant location. We will be back.
