A great find. Barabagh

Going now to do a detour on our blogs now as we found a excellent Home stay between Jodpur and Udiapur which deserves a blog on its own.
Booked this on Booking.com and must admit a couple of our previous booking choices have not been brilliant BUT Barabagh in Deogarth was fabulous.
Set in the countryside just outside the village we entered opened gates with rose petals scattered on the car as a greeting. Behind the walls was a paradise of roses and gardens. This place used to be a royal ladies hunting lodge dating over 200yrs old. The property has been in the same family for many years and just over a year ago Aditi and Prithviraj started a renovation creating a delightful property.  Helping run Barabagh is Vikram (manager) ensuring that we were well looked after.
After a lovely greeting and a refreshing delicious drink of rose water we were shown to well decorated rooms catering for our every need. Great they had a hairdryer as well. 😀😉👍.
A short rest we were off in a landrover for a lovely trip round the local villages meeting residence and seeing how they live. Shown a very old temple with bats hanging from the roof and then a cave
where a local has lived for many years with people bring him food etc. Lovely views from the top of
the mountain. Then off to the lake to watch the sunset and enjoy biscuits and tea. With great company it was magic.
Lovely evening spent with the family sitting round a camp fire and Keith playing his ukulele. Then a fab dinner and retires very contented to our lovely room. Breakfast on the lawn next morning again with the family. Magical setting. The chef made me a bouquet of roses which he presented me on leaving. This was a fantastic place to stay with excellent hosts. The area was interesting and we will be back to see more of this enchanting place. Thank you to Barabagh for a great stop over. Our driver certainly was also well looked after.
